The medicine given in Homeopathy is for the complete health of a person. The external indications of an unhealthy individual and the internal problems are not the only parts of disease. The disease would have roots deep inside the individual.
The medicine needs to be taken for the complete disease to be removed. Only when its roots are removed, will the individual be completely cured and become healthy.
The medicine is determined based on the changes in a person's physical body, symptoms associated with a disease and the mental conditions of the patient.
It is not enough for the doctor to know just the symptoms seen by the patient to decide the medication. More details and in-depth study of an individual is needed to prescribe medicine. The initial consultation with the doctor would require at least a quarter to an hour. The following consultations would require lesser time.
The symptoms of a disease and all observable changes in a patient are unique to each individual. Medicines are prescribed to patients based on the symptoms unique to their body.
After medicines are ingested the symptoms may or may not go away very quickly. Depending on the severity and duration of the disease, it make take time to heal quickly or take some months time. It is best to follow the doctor's advice. Medicines can be stopped once a person is healed completely.
